Does IB deliver to U.S. territories and APO/FPO/DPO addresses?

Yes. International Bridge delivers to all U.S. territories and all three categories of military mail addresses (APO, FPO, and DPO). These destinations are built into the IB Non-Con network as standard.

U.S. territories

IB delivers to the following U.S. territories:

  • U.S. Virgin Islands (USVI), including St. Thomas, St. Croix, and St. John
  • Guam
  • American Samoa
  • Northern Mariana Islands
  • Other U.S. outlying territories

These destinations require the same specialized handling as other non-continental destinations, air transport, destination processing, final-mile delivery, and special labeling.

Military addresses: APO, FPO, and DPO

IB delivers to all three categories of military mail addresses:

  • APO (Army Post Office): U.S. Army and Air Force personnel stationed overseas or at domestic military bases
  • FPO (Fleet Post Office): U.S. Navy and Marine Corps personnel, including those aboard ships at sea
  • DPO (Diplomatic Post Office): U.S. government employees and diplomats at overseas embassies and missions

Military addresses use domestic U.S. ZIP codes and are processed through the USPS military mail system, meaning they ship as domestic parcels with no international customs requirements in most cases.

Transit times for territories and military addresses

Transit times vary by destination. Contact our team for specific estimates for your shipping profile. For military APO/FPO addresses, transit times can be affected by deployment schedules and ship movements, particularly for FPO addresses routed to vessels at sea.

Address formatting for military shipments

Military address formatting uses specific conventions: APO/FPO/DPO city designations, two-letter state codes (AE, AP, or AA), and specific ZIP codes. Errors in military address formatting are a common source of delays and undeliverable packages. For a full guide to formatting and what to expect on military mail, see our APO/FPO/DPO shipping guide and US territories shipping guide on the blog.
