How ODW Logistics improved non-continental delivery performance with International Bridge

IB × ODW logistics partnership
Partnership Overview
ODW Logistics needed a better way to help customers reach non-continental U.S. markets without forcing them to choose between high cost and inconsistent delivery performance.
Through its partnership with International Bridge (IB), ODW strengthened its parcel delivery capabilities for destinations that traditional carriers often struggle to serve reliably or cost-effectively.
Established in 1971, ODW Logistics is a Top 100 3PL with more than 9 million square feet of warehouse space and a national distribution footprint. ODW combines scalable fulfillment, warehousing, and managed transportation solutions to help customers simplify operations, improve service, and support growth across their supply chains.
IB is a US-based parcel delivery and logistics technology company specializing in last-mile solutions, with particular expertise in non-continental US destinations including Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and APO/FPO military addresses.
Together, ODW and IB help shippers expand into hard-to-reach U.S. markets with faster transit, more consistent service, and a more practical cost structure.
Why ODW partnered with International Bridge
ODW customers shipping to non-continental U.S. markets often faced an uncomfortable trade-off: pay a premium for more predictable service or accept slower, less consistent delivery at a lower cost. In some cases, those limitations made it difficult for customers to serve these markets at all. With IB, ODW added IB Non-Con, a service built for non-continental delivery. The result was a more balanced solution: faster transit, stronger consistency, and lower cost for customers looking to grow in markets that were previously difficult or cost-prohibitive to serve.
Performance & Reliability
IB helped ODW improve visibility, communication, and consistency across non-continental lanes. Real time tracking, proactive exception management, dedicated air support, and consistent 2-5 business day transit times gave ODW a more reliable option for destinations that are often difficult and expensive to serve.
Built-In Integration
IB connects directly into ODW’s existing WMS and TMS environment, allowing ODW to access non-continental services without adding complexity for its operations team or customers. Small parcel shipments can move through a unified process with consistent labelling, tracking, and reporting across carriers.
Cost Savings
Since adding IB to its carrier mix, ODW reduced non-continental shipping costs by 15% while improving speed and consistency. The savings came from smarter carrier selection, volume aggregation, address validation, and fewer accessorial charges. For ODW customers, that means a more practical path to serving non-continental markets without sacrificing service quality.

Expanded Geographic Reach
Through this partnership, ODW can more confidently support shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and APO/FPO/DPO military addresses. These destinations previously required costly or less reliable alternatives. IB gives ODW customers a clearer path to reach more consumers across the United States.
Non-Continental US - IB’s Core Competency
Non-continental is one of the most underserved segments in US logistics, and ODW saw the opportunity there early. Working with their team, we opened up Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico to 2-5 business day delivery. It has been a great partnership with a team that knows its customers well, and we're excited to keep building on it.
Chas Gorham, VP of Sales at International Bridge
Non-continental shipping is one of the most underserved segments in US logistics. Alaska, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Guam and the US Virgin Islands represent real, growing consumer markets, yet traditional carriers make it cost-prohibitive or deliver inconsistent performance. IB’s dedicated airlift middle mile combined with final-mile delivery creates a purpose-built solution that delivers in 2-5 business days.
